I thought the game could've had way more to it. I understand that it's for your first published game, and for the first game you've ever made, I thought it was really well done. For starters, I liked how the game started. Going into work, and subtly hinting at the backrooms with the different folder names was definitely really unique! The clipping through the floor into the backrooms after seeing your bugged-out filing cabinet going crazy I found was really entertaining! Also, I liked the ability to get out of the backrooms with a combination numpad lock, (whether or not that has anything to do with the lore of the backrooms itself, I thought it was unique). I thought it was a nice little way to end the game, making it especially cool when you walk into the light.
For the future, I would definitely say add more enemies. I had to play the game again (off camera) to be able to find the creature that is supposed to spawn because it didn't spawn through my first playthrough. I would also recommend adding some more levels, or maybe even expanding just this first level would be an interesting way to add some length to the game.
The atmosphere of this game was fantastic by the way! Having the lights flicker and being able to hear the buzzing throughout the entire game definitely heightened the overall creepiness factor! In all honesty, I would recommend changing the voices to maybe something that is telling you: "come here, trust me", or something along those lines. I feel that would be better instead of the miscellaneous mumbling happening amongst the people in the original audio clip.
Once again, for your first published game, this was very well done! I definitely look forward to your future games, and any potential updates you might do this game in the future!
Visually, a very realistic interpretation of the Backrooms, it reminisced the found footage video very nicely, and overall captured what I think to be a very authentic idea of why the Backrooms is seen to be very unsettling. I can't wait to see how you expand your interpretation of the Backrooms. Hard to believe this only took you 7 days, can't wait to see your future work
Everything from the sickening yellow walls to the flickering of the fluorescent lights, this experience perfectly captures what's said in the stories as well as the found footage video. The tension is palpable and the atmosphere is most unsettling. Well done dev!
This is the first time that I've played a horror game like this. I thought I could handle the scares...I was quickly humbled. The enemy was actually quite chilling. Don't even get me started with the ghastly wail. I was on edge the whole time. Especially since I didn't know what I was doing. Great job!
I loved it.. I just wish the "monster" was a little more aggressive and maybe there was a little more subtle things like creatures peering around the corners at you and stuff you know just things to make you feel even more uneasy you know?
Perfect Timing for this game. I just watched a short film about the Backrooms and this game comes out. I don't know if it was just me but the Walls and endless rooms and corners were so anxiety Inducing. Great job Capturing ambiance
You hit the feeling of the backrooms just right, the monster was decent but the selling point was his footsteps to tell you that he is coming for you. Enjoyed the exploration and thank you for making this! 2nd Game.
This game is fantastic. You captured the feeling of the backrooms perfectly. Definitely add more more levels I would love to play more. I don't think you need to add another enemy, just expand on the creature you already have I think it works well.
Edit: An option to turn off mouse acceleration is needed
really enjoyed this game, only thing i would like is there to be more! i felt there could of been so much more so many more levels, heres my playthrough if you wanna get a feeling of this game highly recommend
This game was super creepy and did a great job portraying the backroom's atmosphere. Here's my funny moments while playing (Starts 1:44) PLEASE CHECK OUT

theres something i like about the scream when you die
you scream like you got murdered but the ghost just sounds too high pitched to be scary. just a suggestion to see if you could make it terrifying
Very creepy. I like how big it is, feels like anything could be there.

THIS GAME KEPT SCARING ME OUT OF MY HEADPHONES!
Hi, what was the problem? Any message appeared?
I found this game on You Tube!
I love horror games and I'd like to play "Backrooms" myself.
I'm a Youtuber in my company, is it possible to live stream "Backrooms"? Also, is it possible to monetize it?
Of course, there should be no problem with that.
Thank you very much. I am looking forward to playing!
this game was so good bro, please make an update and if you can add the actual creature from the backrooms video that would be amazing! ^_^
WARNING: my gameplay has some cursing so please keep your volume down :)Really creepy puzzle game. I enjoyed it.
